I am from Manvel, Texas United States of America and I am 48 years old.  I’ve been skydiving for 6 years and have made 1037 skydives during that time.
My professional occupation is Registered Nurse - O.R..

My Biography:
I was born in Cantaro Village, Santa Cruz, Trinidad in the West Indies, the fourth of five children.
My family moved to Toronto, Canada where I lived for over twenty years.
From pre-teen to well beyond my college years my spare time was packed with all types of sports including basketball, track and field, volleyball, team handball, softball, and ice hockey.
I played basketball and soccer at Concordia University in Montreal, and basketball and indoor and outdoor soccer at George Brown College in Toronto.
My high school high-jump record remained unbroken for years after graduation.
I walked away from college after graduating Nursing school and with a diploma specializing Operation Room Nursing.
To work in my chosen field I moved to Houston, Texas in 1996 and instantly fell for the climate.
In an extension of my sports and activities,, I have had the opportunity to give back to the sport by being both a volunteer and paid coach.
I even ventured into refereeing basketball near the end of my playing years and continuing beyond. I became a member of the Houston Chapter Basketball Officials where I refereed high school girls' and boys' basketball. I also had the opportunity to officiate some collegiate games.
I now work in surgery alongside world renowned Neurosurgeons where I care for patients with brain and spinal cord disorders.
I started skydiving in 2002 after realizing that I was not outgrowing the idea of jumping from an airplane. It took only that first jump to launch my skydiving career.
A very early-set goal was to participate in the "Jump for the Cause". I am very excited that realizing that goal will soon occur.
Although trained to skydive by a prominent Canadian skydiver, I have never jumped in Canada.
Also, I am the only member of my family yet to return to visit Trinidad. (A sister and brother moved back permanently)
I have jumped at numerous places in the U.S. but I look forward to also having at least one jump in all three countries that I have lived in.

My Hobbies & Other Interests:
Rock Climbing
Softball
Basketball Officiating
Puzzles - Jigsaw, Crossword, etc.
Landscaping and Gardening
Home Decorating and Repair Projects

Why I feel it’s important to participate in JFTC:
Its skydiving.......its a women's world record.......its a fundraiser for cancer........it creates awareness of the sport.......its a great time with friends from all over the world.
Skydiving is my sport. I jump just for pure enjoyment. Participating in this fund-raising event allows me to be part of a world record and have others benefit from my enjoyment. Somehow the idea of jumping out of airplanes becomes more acceptable to the general public when it involves an event like JFTC. I hope that as I showcase my sport skydiving will be more accepted and awareness for cancer research will be heightened. I am thrilled to be involved in the plight to eliminate this devastating disease.
