Participant Profile for Nicole Hannan Last Updated: May 7, 2009
I am from Cammeray, Australia and I am 39 years old. I’ve been skydiving for 9 years and have made 1550 skydives during that time. My professional occupation is Pilot.
My Biography: I have been flying since I was 18 but only starting skydiving at 30 - spent years saying I would not jump from a perfectly serviceable airplane. Last year I completed my command training to be a captain with Qantas which is the pinnacle of my career. This means I can now concentrate on skydiving and taking that further. I live in Sydney which I think is the best city in the world.
My Hobbies & Other Interests: Skydiving is my main hobby. Taking place behind that, are reading, swimming and just enjoying time at home, I travel a lot so it is precious.
Why I feel it’s important to participate in JFTC: I work in a male dominated world (only 2% female) and am very excited to be part of a group of women like this. I have 2 Aunts who are breast cancer survivors so am pleased to see us helping in this cause.
Acknowldgement I would like to acknowledge the support I have recieved from the NSW State Parachute Council and the Australian Parachute Federation who have provided funding to allow me to prepare for and attend this event. I also thank all those who have chosen to support this cause through your donations
