Participant Profile for Jean Aitken Last Updated: May 18, 2009
I am from Redwood Meadows, Alberta Canada and I am 50 years old. I’ve been skydiving for 20 years and have made 1,800 skydives during that time. My professional occupation is International HR Manager.
My Biography: I took up skydiving in 1988 to meet new people, and did I ever! A diverse group of people who thrive on the challenge, adrenaline and camaraderie of skydiving.
Little did I know when I made my first jump what a life changing experience it would be. I've traveled to many countries to skydive with friends, participate in world record formations and most important of all, used skydiving to reach out to others, as with Jump for the Cause.
My Hobbies & Other Interests: Skydiving, Skydiving and Skydiving along with some traveling, scuba diving and hiking in the mountains.
Why I feel it’s important to participate in JFTC: Because I've been fortunate enough to remain healthy throughout my own life, I felt this was something I could do to help the multitude of women who've been stricken with breast cancer. I know very few families who haven't been affected in one way or another with this debilitating disease.
There but for the grace of God go I (or my sister, my mother, co-worker or friend)
